About Josephine and Irene...

Jo (Josephine) has been a doll and miniatures collector for over 35 years. Though for the past 20, her focus has been on collecting modern 16", 18", and 21" fashion dolls (Gene, Tonners, Madame Alexander), recentty her interests have expanded to vintage and antique dolls and collectibles, as well as BJDs and American Girls.  In the beginning, obsessed with finding 1:4 scale high-quality furniture and accessories in stores and online and frustrated at the lack of it, she decided to do something about it. So with friends' and collectors' encouragement and only a knack for hunting down items as a guide, she began an initial inventory and thus began her doll site (a learning process created entirely by trial and error). Now, she has branched out into items for all scales dolls, antique to modern, 8" to BJD, to American Girl dolls as well (though, admittedly, the bulk of inventory is still for 16" dolls)!

Irene is the talent behind the incredibly unique hand-made pieces. She has been sewing for many years, having first learned her craft as a little girl at her beloved grandmama's knee. Irene has much experience behind her, having decorated such prestigious places such as "Biba's in Boston (owned by chef Lydia Shire), the Bostonian Hotel, the Arlington Street Church, and "Pignolia's" Restaurant for the holidays. She learned unique tried-and-true crafting tips at Remick's Gift Shop in Quincy, MA (owned by actress Lee Remick's family), all the while gaining endless retail experience along the way. She's an expert jewelry-maker, florist, decorator, vintage/antiques picker, and talented upcycler. Read more about the history of Remick's, where Irene got most of her training, at Remick's Dept. Store thru Wicked Local News.

Through their initial work over a decade ago as colleagues and buddies, they teamed up to moonlight and create Joseirene Productions, hence the name (got that?)! Together, they bring you some lovely, unique, and hand-crafted items!
