About Josephine and Irene...

Jo (Josephine) has been a doll and miniatures collector for over 25 years, but in the past ten years has focused on collecting mostly 16" dolls such as Gene by Mel Odom, Tyler & Sydney by Robert Tonner. Obsessed with finding 1:4 scale high-quality furniture and accessories in stores and online and frustrated at the lack of it in the beginning, she decided to do something about it. So with friends' and collectors' encouragement and only a knack for hunting down items as a guide, she began an initial inventory and thus began her doll site (a learning process created entirely by trial and error). She has since branched out into items for 11", 18", 21", and BJD dolls as well (though the bulk of inventory are for 16" dolls.

Irene is the talent behind the incredibly unique hand-made pieces. She has been sewing for many years, having first learned her craft as a little girl at her beloved grandmama's knee. She has much experience behind her, having decorated such prestigious places such as "Biba's in Boston (owned by chef Lydia Shire), the Bostonian Hotel, the Arlington Street Church, and "Pignolia's" Restaurant for the holidays, and learning unique tried-and-true crafting tips at Remick's Gift Shop in Quincy, MA (owned by actress Lee Remick's family), all the while gaining endless retail experience along the way. Read more about her experience from Remick's at fan site, Anatomy of an Actress.

Through their initial work almost a decade ago as colleagues and buddies, they've teamed up to moonlight and create Joseirene Productions, hence the name (got that?)! Together, they'll bring you some lovely, unique, and hand-crafted items!
